I have finished my first Mutie patrol based around a half track.
I went to town on the weathering as this is supposed to be a hard used vehicle. It is supposed to look like an agricultural tractor with a armoured cab added in the field.
The Blood Pact use these to hold down rural areas on conquered planets, to ferry troops across the battlefield and for reconnaissance.
Nice work. I like the converted truck and the reasoning behind it.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! I love it! Those models look way too good to waste in a game like 40K - I've started a custom game with original rules that blends 40K with Gorkamorka and it might be right up your alley since you look like the kinda guy who loves a good conversion! Maybe you'd be interested in contributing?

Ok, now I want to go buy some halftrack model kits for my Blood Pact. I'm just worried that they wouldn't be allowed in a tournament.
ReplyDeleteAs usual your weathering is great. The only suggestion I might make is to put some soot on the hood in front of the flamer. A pintle weapon would look great on the cab as well.
Great background and well executed. Oh, and just a heads-up, in the new IG codex the heavy weapons team have to be on one 60mm base.
Lovely half-track. I can hear that thing clanking along already!
ReplyDeleteHow many finished Blood Pact models are you up to now? Let's see them all together! :D
Dear Slave, I have linked to your site. I am interested in seeing your work,

Thanks, Geek. You really are a nice guy. You always have something encouraging to say anout people's work.

ReplyDeleteYou are right. Soot on the bonnet (I'm English: bonnet = hood, see also windscreen, gear shift, boot, rev counter, motor etc.) is a brilliant idea.
