Viz and War Workshop

Viz is Britain's best known toilet humour comic (in)famous for its cartoon strips such as Sid the Sexist, Fat Slags, Billie the Fish and Roger Mellie.

A few years ago they produced a strip about a 34 year old obsessive War Workshop assistant. I can't think what they could have been getting at.

  1. Haha, a very amusing read, thanks for posting them!

I would love to show this to a GW IP Lawyer. I'm fairly sure he'd have a fit of some sort...

  2. What I thought was really impressive:
The artist knew the subject very well. He/she know all the names and the systems, pretty impressive!
Do they have more War Workshop or was that it?

  3. Excellent find mate, I'm betting someone at the viz offices was a warhammer player, way to informed for a muggle.

  4. You laugh but this actully happend to me at Wargames workshop near MK. I wanted a Merc box set for I.K Warmachine and picked up a blister of some other smaller warjacks from a different faction. The sales guy started telling me why i couldn't play both of these in the same unit then tried to sell me the rules book and some extra Jacks that went with the merc set. Luckely he was distracted by a rules question from the guys playing a game so i got the wife to just get me the Mercs and i went out side to have a smoke and calm down. It was bad enough that we were on the way to IKEA without someone trying to thrawt my side trip.

  6. dear Soviet
Viz is a 'high-street' selling mag so I rather fancy they have their own lawyers.
