Price Rises
The Dark Sphere shop in central London warns of GW price rises on 1st June. Some are small but others are 25% increases, eg the Aegis Line.
If you need something then it might be wise to buy it now.
Every time this happens, I get less and less embarrassed by the tubs of untouched sprues in my hobby room. They aren't impulse buys - they're investments!
Its bloody highway robbery. I often wonder how an angry mob has not laid waste to GW HQ after someone looked up the actual cost of injection molding on an industrial scale. A Baneblade costs $100 American, I can buy a tank model of the same scale at about 1/3rd the price. But I suppose such is the price we pay for our addiction.
I read about the price increase earlier today and used a different line for the wife. I told her about the increase and said it makes the models I have worth more, but the problem is finding somebody who would pay retail for all of them.
Dear Commissar. But then you would be a capitalist and out of step with the new Progressive Alliance of Labour, Liberal Democrats, Scots nats, Welsh nats, Northern Irish (various) and Greens.
This is just starting to get silly, there doesn't seem to be an end to their money grabbing.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I buy a model, I look in the box and see a couple of plastic sprues and wonder why I'm paying so much for so little.

ReplyDeleteDamn, I wish I bought shares when they tanked in '08-09
ReplyDeleteDear Scott
ReplyDeleteThe bloody mob with pitchforks is too busy marching on Westminster at the moment to take the long march up to the wilds of Nottingham.

Dear ColK
ReplyDeleteIf you find someone who pays full price for second hand then do feel free to send me his address. J.

ReplyDeleteSo we can expect the price rises immediately before "Spearhead" is released ?
ReplyDeleteNice one GW !
Dear Zzzzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteEntirely coincidental, no doubt.
