I won't do this again but a map from Fox News appeared today in the
Daily Mail in an article about Iran's alleged nuclear weapon.
Amusingly, no one at the Daily Mail seems to have noticed the problem. Obviously their 'journalists' have lunched well again.
Apparently Fox News doesn't own a map or a globe or a working knowledge of geography.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that took me a second...I feel like an idiot. Mostly because I didn't bother to read what they labeled for the countries name.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's some obscure Sunni holiday where countries masquerade as other countries.
ReplyDelete...or Shiite. I forget who is repressing whom there now.
ReplyDeleteWow talk about an obvious and glaring mistake.
ReplyDeleteI need a nice sunny holiday...
ReplyDeleteSorry, chaps - that was a shiite joke.
ReplyDeleteGotta love Fox news.
ReplyDeleteIt would be funny, if it wasn't for the fact that this is happening everywhere, I've had illiterate letters from senior staff at Vodafone, Virgin, DWP and - worst of all - HMRC, who also sent a form in Welsh, despite my being at the time in Berkshire, while another HMRC operative gave as his telephone number, the number of an Insurance Company's call centre! But the time he'd apologised (in writing!) I'd referred to it in two separate pieces of communication and 9 months had gone by!
ReplyDeleteWhen a government department is described by the media as being 'not fit for purpose' following some scandal or cock-up or other; I always smile wryly, as it's my contention that no large organisation public, private or 'watchdog' is currently running any sort of acceptable service...yet we are paying more tax and being charged more for 'service provision' by all of them than ever before...in Human History!
Yarh! Boo! Sucks! to the lot of them, funny map though, they should twin with the 'New London' from the other day!
