A Bit 'O Brylcream
Have just plastered down the teddy bear hide with dilute PVA. It's still wet but definitely an improvement. Maybe Donald should try it with his syrup?
John, looking good, once dry are you going to trim the edges for a more uniform look and perhaps add some flock sparingly for moss etc. At the moment it does still look Trumplike. Maybe test a magic wash of Devlan Mud? It works for everything else? So why not thatch...

ReplyDeleteThat looks quite effective. Agree it needs weathering a little. Looks too clean
ReplyDeleteTry blow drying it for that classic 1980's wargame look.
ReplyDeleteI used this technique lots - a trim at the bottom will help give it the layered look, but I never bothered with a drybrush.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Church with a thatched roof, in which I really emphasised the layers

Dear Paul
ReplyDeleteYour church looks great.
