Space Opera: Rats with Ray Guns
I picked up an army box of Mantic's Warpath Veer-Myn, aka Space Rats with Rayguns, from eBay at a very good price.
These are the first squad I have assembled and painted. They are made from plastic-resin not unlike GW finecast only more plasticy, if you see what I mean. The models are very good but can only be stuck with superglue.
A squad consists of ten rats including a leader, with ray pistol, and a chemical sprayer. They are 'heroic scale', the same as Citadel.
Love 'em, John :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Monty
DeleteNice, I always thought they would be cool as a "counts as" for the alien rat race in 40k that appears in random images.
ReplyDeleteYes, they fit the 40K universe well.
DeleteI wasn't a fan, but looking at what you've done with these, a conversion is beginning. Great mood. They're almost completely different models.
ReplyDeleteThey really are great models. They are painted very fussily in the publicity shots.
DeleteNice, or should I say mice? Next 'cats with cannons'?
ReplyDeleteI have a cat in mind. :)
DeleteWow, these look a lot cooler than I anticipated. Those guns are retro-rific. I may have to pick some of these up...curse you!
ReplyDeleteI fancy them for Space opera games. I can just see the space patrol, I nearly said space marines there for a moment, hunting them down on planet Polystyrene.
