Waffen SS at Headcorn
A military show wouldn't be a military show without at least a token presence from the Waffen SS. Above a Panzer Mk III.
A Hanomag with Pak (37mm?).
A scout car.
By the end of '44, the Germans were suffering something of a manpower shortage.
What is going on with the PzIII? Its lower front hull looks pushed forward, it only has 5 road wheels instead of 6 and there is spaced armor in front of the driver and mg positions.
Wow! What a great show, John ;)
ReplyDeleteI like small human-sized shows.

ReplyDeleteObviously a special edition.
DeleteIve met the guys with the PZiii before and its not (obviously) a PZIII chassis. Cant remember what its built on top of...
ReplyDeleteI love Combined Ops. Out of the 3 shows in Kent in July / August, its by far my favorite, but sadly the last two years I've ended up on holiday :(
A great deal of work went into this particular kitbash.
DeleteOne of the Re-enactment societies built a Stug III out of a similar chassis, I'm sure it was an old British Army FV 432
ReplyDeleteI have seen other recreations based on that chassis.
