IHMN - The Wollace & Gramit Stabilised Steam Hussar
A trooper of the 11th Hussars, the 'Cherrypickers', in a Wollace & Gramit steam-powered stabilised light cavalry armoured fighting vehicle in Martian desert camouflage.
A private from the Dorsets is shown alongside for scale.
Dear John, If I recall correctly, khaki appeared in 1884; but that's in our world. Thomas the Tank Engine always made me think of the AVI-1790s I saw being replaced in the field in 1970. I think the British version made a better kids' show. All best, Dave
That bloody Thomas tune is imprinted on my brain. My daughters would watch it endlessly. Funnily enough I remember Thomas books from when I was a child.
Very cool steam tank, John. Like the use of the Crimson Fists :)
ReplyDeleteThat transfer attracts interest.:)
DeleteNice idea and love the puff of team:)
ReplyDeleteIt is rather Thomas the Tank Engine.
DeleteCracking good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gordon. I rewarded myself with some cheese.
DeleteWould they be camouflaged at this stage? Not that it matters at all, I really do like it and can imagine a squadron of these metal beasts.
ReplyDeletePossibly not but I fancied doing something different. :)
DeletePink makes for good desert camo, apparently, especially in the red sand of Mars...
DeleteThey used pink in the desert in WWII, soooo......:)

The Sudan troops were certainly in khaki.
