The First New Doctor Who Miniatures

The first of the new Warlord Doctor Who licenced minis have been painted up.

I don't know the names of the sculptors and painters but......RESPECT!
As you should, models like this are far too rare in this hobby. The sculpts have done a create job capturing the actor's likeness which is wicked impressive considering the scale!
"For the more intelligent girl who loves boys games". That's incredibly patronising. I have a "more intelligent girl" who's doing great things but has no love of boys games. What an utterly chavenistic thing to say.
Oh dear God, you know who HG Wells was, yes? And you grasp the concept of irony, yes? Have you considered forming a protest movement? You could picket his grave.
Dear John, I checked. Wells' ashes were scattered in the sea. There's apparently a large sculpture of a Martian tripod in the middle of Woking, however. That would be a good place to picket. The self-righteous we will always have with us. As always. Dave

DeleteI'm positive they were painted by Warlord's Kirsten Williams, and I think the sculptor is Russ Charles.

ReplyDeleteNope,toys are pics of the actual models. Done with a hand held Nikon using an angle pose light for illumination.
DeleteSimon, no they're actual size. The doctor is 33mm tall. They're just very detailed. I should know, I sculpted them :)

DeleteFantastic sculpts. Being Heroic 28mm I would be curious to see them beside the older 25's as a comparison. Especially the Dalek's

There do seem to be people who roam the internet trying to find things to be outraged about. I suppose everyone should have a hobby.
