The Swordfish


I have painted the first of my Dreadfleet, the pirate vessel swordfish.

The model behind is a cruiser from the Spartan Games Uncharted Seas. the scale, as you can see, is more or less the same, which is useful.

Dreadfleet is very good value. So far I am impressed.

    Argh. Every post like this tips me closer to buying Dreadfleet.

    I'm happy that I bought it. My take on Dreadfleet is if your on a tight budget and want a good fantasy sea game ... go with Uncharted Seas. You'll get alot more out of that. If however your a dyed in the wool GW fanboy (like me) and you also have Uncharted ... hmmm ... indeed this stuff is a box o' gold. I have yet to assemble my stuff or play a game but the reviews I've read and the general scuttlebutt is that its a solid, fun game. You combine that with the utility of using all these models, terrain, markers, etc. for scenario games with Uncharted and its really a very good value.

    The bits are easily worth £70 even if you don't rate the game. I have only played it once so far but I do have reservations.
