Dover Harbour
Popped down to Dover on Saturday. I hoped to take a picture of the harbour from the castle keep but that was impossible due to the storm gusts. So here is a photo from the ground instead, taken from a Sony 'phone.
Dover was bombed to bits unfortunately, and lost almost all of its historic seaside buildings as a result. the monstrosities they erected in the 60's make it look terrible nowadays. have you ever been up to see the Western Hights Dave? there are some incredibly impressive sights over there, mainly Napoleonic.
It'll do. :)
ReplyDeleteThe wind gusts kept pushing me over. Thank gawd for anti-shake.
DeleteNever been to Dover except to catch a ferry. Always wanted to visit the castle...
ReplyDeleteThe castle is well worth a visit Legatus. I am less impressed with Dover itself. Nothing wrong with it but a working town.

The Western Hights? No I don't think I have. Must look it up.
