Fortified Ruined House
A ruined house fortified as a strongpoint. Suitable for C20th or modern wargaming. It is based on a 1/72 Airfix kit.
I plastered it with different layers of paint and wash to get a 'churned' appearance. I am quite pleased with the result and can see this place defended by Panzer Grenadiers in my West Front '44 games.

That's really nice mate. I'm always a bit iffy over switching between scales, any chance of putting some figures next to it?
ReplyDeleteWill have a go,

I had that in 1/35. My grandad was digging airfix Afrika Korps out of his borders till he died. Now when I visit Grandmama (99 not out), I sometimes wander into the spare room where there are two last figures, still with all their detail obscured by mud from when they were buried 30 years ago.
ReplyDeleteSorry, had a beer.
Lol - nice one ;)
DeleteYeah, I started with airfix plastic soldiers. Sometimes, I just think I am entering my second childhood.

Nice one, John...sorry to sound thick, but is this the actual kit, but spruced up?? If so, it's ages since I've seen it ;)
ReplyDeleteYou cannot beat the Forward Command post. Nice job John.
ReplyDeleteDear Monty
