Damn Snails

Yesterday after dinner, as is my wont, I despatched the Wabbit Daemon out to mow the back lawn. As it was a gorious Autumn evening I stayed out myself to do some gluing in the fresh hour.

Unfortunately I dropped the sprue instructions on the ground - and a bleedin' snail shot out of its hiding place in a concrete crack and blasted well started to eat them.

I tell you, it's hell here in the rural badlands of, ah, Kent.

  2. "a bleedin' snail shot out of its hiding place"... Was it a rocket propelled? Or just lying in wait?

  4. Had something similar happen last weekend. We took photos in the back garden and used a plain card backdrop - and forgot to bring it in with us. Following morning, the card remained in the same spot, but had acquired several significant holes and patches where the paper had been nibbled down to just the vaguest final fibres. Doh!

    1. What is it about snails and paper. I mean, what makes paper yummy.

  5. Who knew Kentish snails are so fearsome? I think you have the makings of a Weird War scenario there to be sure.

  6. John I'm concerned. Either that is the fastest snail on Earth or you took 2 hours to bend over and retrieve those instructions.
