Proofs for Tabletop Wargames
Just been through the proofs for Tabletop Wargames. Very clean copy from Pen & Sword so only found a few and they are probably mine!
Daniel Mersey, of Lion Rampant fame did the layout.
It will be fun to see if readers can detect which bits are mine and which are Rick's.
All on track to be out in September this year.
The book is currently on preorder.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Clint.
DeleteI`ll have to get myself a copy ;)
ReplyDeleteDing, a sale. :)
DeleteHope you like it, Richard.
Interesting, looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteHOpe you like it, Matt.
DeleteHuzzah!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Paul.
DeleteI've had mine on order for a while. I only wish I could get you guys to sign it. That would make it even better!
ReplyDeleteI guess we live too far apart, John. But one never knows.
DeleteAt least an ocean! We get to hang out here in the digital world though. That is pretty cool by itself.
DeleteThe world has changed beyond belief in my lifetime.
DeleteBut was it wise to write the whole thing in iambic hexameter?
ReplyDeleteWot?
DeleteLOL! Is the required decoder ring going to a seperate purchase? :)
DeleteBlast, you've worked out our cunning plan.
DeleteDear John,
ReplyDeleteYes, I had the same thought as Rick. That's fine for Latin, but the normal English (compare Johnson's London with Juvenal's Rome) is to switch to Heroic Couplets. The disadvantage there is that the couplets are end stopped.
Laymen don't realize the questions facing writers before they even start work!
Dave
Listen, you and Rick may have had a classical education but you are talking to a Brunel University graduate whose only poetry knowledge is abou the one that starts..."There was a you Lady from Ealing...."
DeleteAh, the problem with walking with giants. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGenerally, I hide from giants. :)
