Bad Paint Job

The fragrant Ron, over at FtW has asked members to post one of their worst paint jobs. He obviously fancied a laugh.

So here is my disastrous Tarzan. The fact that I gave him purple hair (red-green colour blindness) is almost incidental to the sheer horror of the over enthusiastic drybrushing.

The worst thing is that I thought that it was not a bad piece of work.

  1. I wish I could paint that "badly."

  2. Haha as do I, I would post my work but I don't want to be responsible for any lasting psychological damage!

  3. Dear Christian and Pacific,
    You are too kind.
Cool Mini or Not voters think even my best stuff is barely mass wargame standard :)

  4. My early works were very similar to that. I also was quite pleased with them.

The thing that always scares me when I finish a piece now and am please with it is that I will revisit it in two years and it will look like Tarzan to me.

Also, Tarzan must have some amazing callouses on his feet to endure what appears to be a landscape made up of quartz (which is superior to what my friends used to call my "kitty litter basing technique")

  5. Dear Mike
I think you have to keep trying new things, and being philosophical about the inevitable disasters.
