Steamborg: Executioner Class
I have been very taken by Wyrd Miniatures Malifaux range. This is a Steamborg manufactured by the Miners and Steamfitters Union, which serves as a front for an organised crime network called the Arcanists. Malifaux is a sort of Steampunk-WildWest-Victoriana. More about the game in a later post. The models are great.

Like the paint job mate, has he had an accident from one photo to the other though? he looks about ready to rock over backwards in the middle shot but quite upright in the other two. Or are the figures getting so good these days that they move about when your not looking.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the flesh tones! I'll have to check out that range of miniatures. I like the sounds of the setting too. Not that I will ever get a chance to start in on a new game any time soon. But a model or two more in the stock pile can't hurt. ;)
ReplyDeleteDear Shaun
ReplyDeleteTake more water with it mate,
John
Dear Josh
ReplyDeleteit looks an interesting system,

Very nice mate. I really must start looking outside the GW range, there's some wonderful stuff out there.
ReplyDeleteI stumbeled across there site last night as it happens got some really nice miniatures in there range, very characterful stuff.
ReplyDeleteTo anyone following these comments, the game is great. 5 models and you've got a fully playable crew. and the card mechanics make things a lot more interesting.
ReplyDeleteJohn, loving your Steamie. I agree that he looks to be falling back in the middle picture.
Ah Steamie... I remember seeing your "green" and knowing you'd be fun.
Just begging to be a Soul drinkers chapter master conversion :)
ReplyDeleteDear Col
ReplyDeleteThe quality of miniatures from independents is often now excellent. GW has raised the game for everyone by raising the price.

Dear AoM
ReplyDeleteHave you played Malifaux?
So far I have only looked through the rules.

Dear Karita
ReplyDeleteYeah, that thought occured to me as well. The torso is a seperate section so it would be easy to convert.
