Chinese 200th Mechanised Division
The 200th Mechanised Division of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army destroyed a Japanese Brigade at Kunlun Pass in December 1939 before being decimated at Batang. It fought with great gallantry at during the 1942 retreat through Burma, being nearly destroyed.
Rebuilt in 1944 with American eqipment they fought alongside the British Army in a series of bloody battles against the Japanese. It was finally destroyed in 1949 by the PLA after being encircled and overwhelmed by superior numbers after winning a series of defensive battles.
It used a variety of equipment sourced from Britain, France, Italy, Germany and the Soviet Union, including Vickers 6ton, Pz1 and T26 tanks, Renault and Italian CV33 tankettes, SDKFZ 221/2 and BA6 armoured cars - making it great fun for the wargamer.

That's a neat little force, I mean interesting of course, that many different types of equipment is anything but "neat". I went ahead and googled it after reading your article, Wikipedia actually had a comprehensive breakdown of the numbers and types of armored vehicles, that surprised me quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteNice variety of vehicles to choose from then. The force you've put together look rather good any particular plans for them?
