VBCW: King Edward VIII's Airliner
This Oxford Miniatures diecast model is a Dragon Rapide in the personal colours of Edward VIII, the 'traitor king', when he was Prince of Wales.
It is in 1:72 scale and very suitable for a Very British Civil War scenario.
The Rapide was the best prewar airliner. Examples are still flying today.

Nice looking model. Now any chance of an Army shot of one of your VBCW factions. I'm starting out on my VCBW adventure and I'm building up my combatants.

Dear John,
ReplyDeleteThe Dragon Rapide is a lovely aircraft. But the Douglas DC-3/Dakota was the better airliner by a considerable margin.
As always,
Dave
Different generation, Dave. It should be better.
DeleteDear John,
ReplyDeleteDifferent generation but same time:
Dragon Rapide and Boeing 247--1934
DC-3--1935
Douglas had better engineers.
Dave
Dragon has more class.
Deletepah! Damn Yankees. :)
