ReplyDeleteExcellent. Maybe he should have done what Redvers Buller did during the Sudan campaign and commandeer enough camels to carry all his Veuve Clicquot with him!
ReplyDeleteThe Campaign failed because of lack of camels but Redvers, if memory serves, commandeered 24 to carry his booze. Now that is taking alcoholism and incompetence to heroic levels.
