Another burning hot day in Kent, the heat, the sweat, the rabbits.
So I got the airbrush out of its winter store. The mem-sahib has banned its use in the house for some inexplicable reason. Women are so unreasonable.
I use a Badger single-action - going for simple and high quality. The compressor is a must. Compressed air cans are another name for a refrigorator.
I had forgotton what a great finish you get with an airbrush. I diluted the acrylic Citadel paint with tapwater and Cap Plan screenwash (the blue stuff).
Excellent. Had mine out Friday. Hurrah for airbrushing.
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of both your weather and your airbrush mate.
ReplyDeleteDear ZZZ
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot about airbrush use watching a professional make up person get my daughter ready for her wedding.

Dear Blitz
ReplyDeleteThe airbrush is a pain to set up but quick to use and the results are great.

Hooray for Airbrushes! I enjoy the results of mine much more than the set up as well. I keep my compressor and related items in a cabinet in the kitchen. It's easy to pull out and use, then tuck back away. If it's a quick spray job, my wife usually doesn't even know it's been out. Unfortunately, it's almost never a quick spray job!

ReplyDeleteThe problem is that I have raised clumsiness to a near art form. I have just covered my daughter's rabbit with latex while trying to make a mould.
