Red Gobbo has acquired some extra muscle for the Gobbo Revolushanary Council: the Kayvee 'Tu Grot Tank.

The model is part of a range made by Meng and available from eBay in the UK. The list includes various WWII tanks and a modern Chinese battle tank.

Reaper Shoggoth

And not a moment too soon. That armour is badly needed as a new enemy threatens.

Bursting through the eternal polar ice comes the evil Shoggoth.

The fundamentals of 40K are a parody of British life in the 1970s and 80s filtered through the sense of humour of a certain young anthropology student called Rick Priestley.

I wonder how many modern GW staffers know who was the original Red Robbo? Clue: he was one of the clowns who brought down the British car industry.

Formula Ork

Da Ork racing car has a few features not found on a Ferrari.

Da warp jump drive to aid in overtaking, or example. Well there's nothing in the rulebook preventing warp drives.

Da grinda is very useful when a backmarker fails to give way. No one's complained yet, well no one whose been through the grinda, hurr, hurr, hurr.

Dis is a bit of da grey area in the rules but the shok attack gun and bombardment rockets are very useful if that dat Hamilton overtakes.

Da Boyz are stikklas for the rules: the car has not one but two wooden skid blocks - as well as some stickbombs.

Hur, hur, hur....

Stompa

The upcoming Apocalypse supplement got me keen to finish my Stompa that has been lying around the shed for some years.

I had previously spray-undercoated it with a textured grey and overcoated with black and dark metallic.

Today I highlighted in copper and bronze, painted the crew, touched up a few details and finished it off with quick-drying furniture stain/varnish and Army Painter anti-shine.

And Yere-Tiz, now in playable condition. I may highlight it a bit more or I may not. Sometimes you have to know when to stop.

Titan Affixed To Base

My original plan was to affix each foot to a seperate Renadra flyer stand but I called in Shaun who pointed out that I was barmy. He mounted the Titan for me on a solid piece of rubber wood.

 He drilled up through the feet, through the ball and socket joint into the legs. He then drilled the board and added a screwed rod firmly locked in with countersunk nuts on each side. The legs go on the rods and voila. All I have to do is decorate.

I made this some years ago but it's kitbash time on #miniaturemonday so I decided to get this out and photo it. Note the Warlord's bike on a crane, the ork straphanger, flak tower and, oh many things.

Black Ork Down

I am making a real effort to finish my Orky Airborne, Da Green Devils now that we have flying rules in 40K.

This is the infamous Black Ork warcopta, two supablastas, twin-linked rocket launcher and two grot turrets with big blastas. It also carries ten boyz. Use as a fast 'closed' skimmer.

Da Mek has decided to upgrade da Squadron to a full blown airborne mob.

So some new heavy stuff is coming off the old producshun line, to whit, a Flying Fortress bomba, a Tyfoon strike plane, and a Blackork skimmer.

Dey need a lick 'o paint to make 'em go fasta but then it'll be chocs away for the wild blue yonda.

One of our shuttle pilots recoded a microwave of this - see above - on a routine logistics mission to Base Gamme-Five-Gamma. The base had been comprehensively sacked, no survivors. Could you ask your chaps to fly a few snoop missions into Orky air space to see if we are up against something new?

Scratch Built Orky Deff Dread

I need more Dredds for my Big Mek Dread Mob. I try to make each orky vehicle different because da Meks don't use production lines. This little beauty is scratch built from all sorts of odd bits. I have gone for an upright look to contrast with GW dreads.

I always give da dreads close combat weapons and a burna - useful for winkling grots out dere hidey holes.

Note da sensa pack on da top.

Rear view wiv da heat exchanga for blowing off spare gas. Spare gas build up in a dread is a real problem, especially if the pilot has been on da squigg beer.

Scrap Ova Da Scrap

Big Mek Metlebasha wuz clectin scrap in da remains of da hoomie city when Warboss Snozgut y mate Shaun) announced dat de scrap is needed for his noo battlewagon. So dey has a scrap ove da scrap.

Snozgut rounded up some boyz wiv truks an bikes an things to give de upstart Mek a good kicking.


Snozgut's sneaky battleplan was to charge across open ground at da windy spanna-boyz an grots.



Snozgut's lads were met with a hail of rokits that smashed his trucks. One entire mob of boyz were incinerated when a rokit blew up the fuel tank.

His biker-boyz charged da grot tanks and were annihalted by a hail of grotzooka fire and burnaflames. The remnants were sliced up by da killer cans and da Dread.

Snozgut rallied his boyz and was about to call a Waaghh when a rokit hit him between the eyes, lodging in his skull. Snozgut gota bit confused and led da boyz in a charge in da wrong direction leaving Metlebasha in charge of da loot.

He had in mind a new speshul project.
