Many Black Moons ago, I purchased a second-hand Nurgle-painted Rhino off eBay in an effort to give my plague marines some mobility. I tarted it up a bit and then abandoned the model when the rules changed and transports became death traps.
However, I had a spare demolisher cannon so I attached it to the front and remade it as a Nurgle Vindicator tank.
However, When 8th edition came out it became clear that Death Guard Vindicators had gone the way of Imperial Guard jetbikes.
However, the new Death Guard codex introduced the Plagueburst Crawler....a superannuated Vindicator.
Soooo, given that I didn't much like the Crawler model anyway, I added some guns from the ole bitz-box to restore WYSIWYG and Voila!
The new kitbashed Plagueburst Crawler.
Close up of the business end.
I refreshed the slime a bit.
The Grandfather sees all.
And of course, the upwardly mobile slime daemon needs somewhere to hang his heads.
Off to spread the Grandfather's Bounty.

Death Guard Blightlord Terminators
I have a rather large Deathguard army, including a Titan, but somehow never got around to acquiring terminators - so I was pleased to see the release of the Blightlord set.
The models are nice but one thing struck me upon building them. If one compares one of the new terminators (left) with a Deathguard Plague Marine (right), then the relative lack of stature of the termies is clear. By making plague marines so big, GW may have created something of a problem for themselves. Their terminator equivalents look a bit unimpressive, somehow, in comparison.
And here is the full set.
This laddie comes with his own muckspreader.
The squad leader with combi-weapon and plague sword. He is a bit on the fly-blown side.
Another chance to see, showing his best side for a close up.
This guy has come over all steam-punkery.
And it's goodbye from them.

I love the cape on Lord Zorro the blubberback.

Death Guard, The Flyblown, Flylord
Meet the Flylord, leader of the Flyblown, my unit of Blightlord Terminators.
He has been well 'blessed' by Nurgle for his devotion to the cause of entropy.
A sword crackling with rust and the power of Nurgle.
Combi bolter.

Blight Kings
I recently decided my Nurgle Daemon Army needed more punch so acquired some Blight Kings.
At a pinch, they could also serve as Nurgle terminators, assuming I ever play 40K again.
I like these models: they are full of character.
Of course that rather depends whether the next edition of 40K cleans it up and turns it back into a playable Fire and Manoeuvre wargame as opposed to a bloated monster.

Just when I thought I'd finished my Nurgle Army, Spellcrow have to come up with these.

Warhammer Chaos Nurgle Daemons
I have almost finished my 40K Nurgle army. The last units to complete the detachment are some allied daemons.
One more unit to go and the base on my Titan to paint and I am done, done, never call me mother.
The irony is that I don't play 40K at the moment. The last two versions have utterly failed to capture my imagination.
Oh well.

Nurgle Chaos Marine Army
Decided to have a review of the troops so put my Nurgle Chaos Marine Army on parade.
I have three large units of marines, two units of cultists (one somewhat mutated), two dreadnoughts, a daemon prince, two sorcerers, a warlord, two tanks, a defiler, a blight drone, a baneblade and a warhound titan.
It's a mixture of Citadel, Forge World Pig Iron and others with a fair degree of kitbashing.
And it's finished, well except for some terminators and....no, no away Satan.

Nurgle Chaos Titan
Well yere 'tiz, the Nurgle Titan only four years late for the Siege of Vraks, a bit like the British Army at Khartoum.

Titan Build - Roof On.
The roof sections are finished. I only have to put in the ventilator ducts. Next are the cables from the hull to the plasma cannon and to the head. This is a little tricky as they have to be heat bent into place.
The final act is to base the monster. It is heavy, shatterable and horribly unstable. All the weight is in the top. I am unsure whether two 'flyer' bases, one per foot, from Renadra will suffice or whether I will have to pin it to a heavy wooden or perspex base.
We shall see.

Chaos Nurgle Titan: Head Cockpit Details
The reason that the Titan is such a big job is that the internal detail is fantastic. The light ain't so good in Kent at the moment being either deep shadow or bright sunlight so I
have shot the model from a few angles. Hope it looks suitably Nurgly!

Titan Update
I really, really intend to finish it this time so it can take part in a titan bash in the back garden.
Working on the next two components, the 'head' and the right hand cannon.

Forge World Chaos Titan
I am resolved to finish my Chaos Titan for the summer. It has been sitting in a drawer for a couple of years now. So far I have completed the legs and torso.

A Nurgling we will go
A Nurgling we will indubitably go. I had quite a few spares left over from various projects, in fact, enough to build a Plague Marine squad - with a little modelling.
These are two of my test subjects. I learn't a little and think I an improve on this but they'll do for a free squad.
PS Mrs John says they look like dancing girls with their hands in the air???

Rebuilt Blight Drone
And here 'tiz, the rebuilt Blight Drone from an interesting mix of super glue, milliput, green stuff, wire and resin fragments.

Nurgle Blight Drone
I decided to buy two more Blight Drones to finish my squadron. This is the first. I would like to show you more pics but a few secdonds later a huge gust of wind sent in airborne and it shattered on landing - and I do mean shatter. I am putting something back together with a great deal of milliput and green stuff.
Ho hum!
Britain is a highly wind blown island.

Plague Lord at the Crossroads
One of the minor Plague Lords, the one responsible for spreading athlete's foot and bad breath, has been tasked with capturing the crossroads by the refinary complex in the City of Borstal. To this end he summons his (1500pt) warband of two warrior retinues, a dred., a single obliterator, a despoiler, a vindicator and a predator tank killer.
Guarding the crossroads is a detachment of the Fourth Luton Fusileers, dug in with tank support and out of range of the Nurgle weapons.
Lord Halitosis had a cunning plan, which involved running across the highway screaming. As a token gesture to combined arms warfare his vindicator would lead at full speed to try get withing blasting distance supported by the predator.
After clearing out the right hand building the troops will move through the ruined buildings from right to left clearing house.
A cunning plan which sprung an immediate link bedore sinking with all hands. The vindicator got totalled and the predator crew were cross eyed.
As usual, the despoiler was shot to pieces immediately.
Displaying his usual fortitude of purpose, Halitosis immediately issued counterorders to charge the left flank instead. The dreadnought went mad and shot up the plague marines with its plasma cannon. This was not going well.
A storm of fire raked the plague marines crossing the highway. The obliterator went phut and the dred's legs jammed. I started taking losses but plague marines are tough, baby. They were just shaking off hits from this rotary-barrelled cannon tank, Admittedly a few bits got shot off as well but hey, mostly nothing serious.
In deep depression, well it's an illness innit, Halitosis was tempted to retreat but the nearest cover was now on the far side so he pressed on. When the marines got stuck into the Imperials it was good night Irene. the tanks fell to melta guns and bombs.
At this point the Fusileers elected to retreat rather than get massacred in close combat as the marines chewed down the flank rolling up thier position..
But by Nurgle the guardsmen had inflicted some losses.
Halitosis kept thinking of a Khornite called Pyhrus - but that is another story.
