On My Painting Table, Longbowmen

GW released a Warhammer edition some years ago with a collection of plastic Bretonnians, including archers that were direct copies of English longbowmen. So many of these were in circulation that they turn up for pennies on ebay. They are actually very nice models that are eminently suitable for both fantasy and medieval armies.

    1. Definitely the best models in that particular Warhammer release.

  2. Wouldn't mind snagging a score or so of these for Lion Rampant actually

    1. They turn up at bring & buys, eBay and second hand traders. Always plent around. There are two types, kettle helmets and skull caps.

  3. It is my belief that GW's retreat into it's own head, as opposed to fully be a substitution for other companie's fantasy miniatures, is part of their downfall. Why put skulls and weird crap on everything so that people go, "Nope, not buying that for generic fantasy or history."

    1. I have long given up trying to guess the logic of GW's recent manoeuvres.

  4. Are the Bretonnisn knights any good for medieval knights in Lion Rampant?

Joe, I think you may have misunderstood the term skull cap
