As part of my general clear out connecting with the renovation of my house, I was about to sell this knight.
I really do not have a use for the model but my beautifully painted chaos marine warband on expensive resin stands went for about one quarter new price on ebay,
So on that basis I think I may as well keep it.

So many people are off-loading 40k minis, that they generally don't sell for anything reasonable these days.
ReplyDeleteYah, an ominous sign. The 2nd hand traders are cutting prices.
DeleteI'd say keep it, looks cool in your collection.
ReplyDeleteI think I will.
DeleteYou never know when a giant robot will come in useful
ReplyDeleteSo true.
DeleteI'd keep it as it's a damn fine model, nicely painted. It used to be the case that you held onto GW minis for a few years and then sell them on second hand for more than you bought them due to their 'pricing policy'.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom seems to have dropped out of the 40K plastic market. The metal models are sought after.

ReplyDeleteThe speculation market for 40k is quite down. There are some paint backed derivatives markets worth getting into though. I could send you the bolt action prospectus, but you might have regulatory troubles due to insider knowledge. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways keep your models.
Insider trading? Don't you get a knighthood for that.
DeleteLooks good mate. Keep it or advertise it on some of the facebook selling pages.
ReplyDeleteI've decided to keep it, Simon.
