Winter of '79

Having lived through the 70s including the Winter of Discontent, I am attracted to the Winter of 79 British insurrection game.

Just what I need, a new project.

Picked up a few suitable kits in 20mm, taps nose........

  1. Good luck with this! I too love this "period" and served in the 80's ... the Soviet figures look good, not seen that box for years.

    2. Me too. My recollections do not have a GB on the brink of civil war. Berlin, Aden, Belize, Rhodesia and so on would all be OK.

    3. I agree. This is like 1938, a pure fantasy - but fun. The left were a bunch of civil servants, students and university lecturers and the right, silly old gin-drinking has beens. Revolutionaries, pah! As Lenin would undoubtedly have said.

    1. For most people though the 70s are a great era where ordinary people had access to consumer items for the first time.
