ReplyDeleteMe too, Monty.
DeleteGood luck with this! I too love this "period" and served in the 80's ... the Soviet figures look good, not seen that box for years.
ReplyDeleteIt is in sale in my local shop, Rochester Model's.
DeleteOddly enough, that's exactly the reason that puts me off....
ReplyDeleteI remember the 70s with nostalgia.
DeleteMe too. My recollections do not have a GB on the brink of civil war. Berlin, Aden, Belize, Rhodesia and so on would all be OK.
DeleteI agree. This is like 1938, a pure fantasy - but fun. The left were a bunch of civil servants, students and university lecturers and the right, silly old gin-drinking has beens. Revolutionaries, pah! As Lenin would undoubtedly have said.
DeleteYep no interest from me in this period as I lived through all the pain caused by said Winter.
ReplyDeleteFor most people though the 70s are a great era where ordinary people had access to consumer items for the first time.
DeleteCould also be research for an alternate history novel too.
ReplyDeleteI think Douglas Hard wrote one many years ago.
DeleteHarvey Black as well, for 'cold war gone hot' stuff.
DeleteDon't know that one.
