Dawn in North Kent

SE England is full of airports, civilian, transport, charter and military, so the sky is full of contrails. This lot are heading out over the South Coast towards the Mediterranean, Africa, Middle East and the Orient.

  1. Nice picture John. Up early to write or paint or both? Time for bed here near San Francisco.

  2. Just up early. :)
I have changed planes in San Francisco on my way to LA but never managed to stop there. It looked a fascinating city.

  3. It's a pretty amazing city. I live 20 miles or so south of San Francisco and only get up there a couple times a year so I always feel like a tourist myself.

  4. I would love to see it but I fear my long distance travel days may be over.

  5. John-

    1. What in the world are you doing up so early?

    2. Its never too late to travel, if you make it over, I will be happy to show you the sights, there are some amazing old military spots that most folks don't even know are there. Fort Point and the old Presidio are not to be missed, also the Alameda Naval Station museum.

  6. Dear SC
    1. I have trouble sleeping sometimes. I suffer from depression.

    2. I have had to retire due to stress (my kidneys started to fail, which tends to get your attention) and am still a bit agoraphobic about public transport, including planes.

But hey, it's being so cheerful 'as keeps me going. :)

    best
    John
