Ve Haf Ways
This is British wargamer Philip Fursman holding his 28mm Adolph Hitler miniature that he tried to sell on eBay.
They pulled his auction on the grounds that he was promoting hate crimes.
God knows what they will make of my Zombie Nazi Stormtroopers.

Frightening, we have gone mad.
ReplyDeleteThats just rediculous, did someone complain or what? Even here in germany they give some leeway to stuff like that, given its for modelling or wargaming (although you cannot use that particular persons name or the name of that particular former political party)
ReplyDeleteWar memorabilia, on the other hand, is blocked completely. I mention this because i had to laugh recently when i tried to view a 1939-45 commonwealth service medal on ebay, only to be told 'due to laws in your country you cannot view this item' Haha, its an item i actually own! (my grandfathers one) Made me wonder if i would be committing a crime by showing it to anyone here.
Sorry for going slightly off topic btw....
It does make you wonder about the human race sometimes. We can be so incredibly thick when it comes to the little things in life... and often the big things as well. How the hell did we make it out of the stone age?
ReplyDeleteGood grief, how pathetic!!!!!
ReplyDelete"Zombie Nazi Stormtroopers"
ReplyDeleteBraunschweiger Shirts?
Zombie Nazi auction: jack booted eBay thugs will kick in your door in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteSo, we should not acknowledge Hitler's existence though the medium of toy soldiers? Isn't there a quote about "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
ReplyDeleteEbay should be praised for this. I read General Jumbo in my youth and know the dangers of toy soldiers.
ReplyDeleteDear Eeore
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right, it leads to an empty wallet.
