Welcome to my strange alternative world of wargaming with toy soldiers: a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books (HG Wells, Little wars)
Ah the illuminati ... possibly my favorite of your chaos warbands.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see them go but it seems from the blog that 40k has dropped off your radar so completely understandable.
Hope they find an appriciative new home! Some nice work there.
I have kinda lost interest in 40K for the mo. GW seem to have lost interest in wargaming.
DeleteThey're walking a well trodden path...
ReplyDeleteWith a cliff at the end of it. When you lose touch with your customers....
DeleteThat's a great looking force! It'll be sad to see it go, but I hope you make a pound or two from it. As far as the 'why', I can definitely understand. I've been considering selling my ridiculously massive GW collection more frequently lately. Lord knows I could use the space in my house. May it bring much profit!
ReplyDeleteGW abandoning wargames is a bit unsettling. I just wonder what use all these figures I own will be in a few years time.
DeleteA nice looking collection of minis. I had a purge recently and sold a load of my 15mm stuff. It was hard to part with the models but I found the experience cathartic...and the money I raised was immediately 'reinvested' in my latest project.
ReplyDeleteExactly Lee. GW apparently labours under the delusion that we are model collectors when we are actualy wargamers. There comes a point when you need to get rid of models you know you will never use again to make space - and generate funds, of course.
