Cyborg Insects & Chaos Daemon Machines
In my various meanderings among steampunk model sites I came across an artist who makes beautiful steampunk insect sculptures.
You can find his work here:

It struck me that maybe we should be a little more imaginative about scratchbuilt Chaos daemon-machines to supplement those released by GW and Forge World. Must think on this

John,
ReplyDeleteI heartily agree with your final statement. I really love some of the non-cannon artwork that has been done over the years by GW. But if we take inspiration where we find it then we can really get creative with our own miniatures.

ReplyDeleteExactly so,

Hi John (me again)
ReplyDeleteLike the concept and the execution of this model/specimen (Iknow super glue sticks fingers together did't know it did chitin as well) I think there are some cheap Bugs and Critters packs at DA toys plus the less salubrious toy and general goods stores like poundland, 99p world or CMOT Dibbler esq. that would provide some material for conversions
Dear Shaun
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I need to spend more time in toy shops. I must see if I can borrow a kid for the afternoon. I keep pointing out to my daughters that a grandchild or two would be useful.
