I have started assembling the Skytrex planes. Superglue is of limited value because (i) you need to repostion all those struts and superglue drys too quickly, and (ii) it does not provide enough support for the small contact points. I have therefore tried Araldite quick drying epoxy resin with better results. It is slow and messy but it does the job.
Essential tool when assembling white metal 1:144 triplanes and pushers.

Applying these rules I'd say they were easier than the Space Marine Scout Speeder to make up!

"Bought some copper rod." I think you'll find it a Godsend. My next mistake was to drill through both wings. Just drill through the bottom and push the wire into the indentations in the bottom of the upper wing. Would have saved much time trying to trim and fill the visible upper plane. Also don't cut to length until after the glue has set as if you are a fraction out you end up starting again!

I used gel superglue to put my Skytrex biplanes together. That has the advantage of taking a bit longer to dry completely while still being sticky enough to hold the parts in place while you reposition the struts. It also fills the holes in the wings quite nicely at the same time.
