Nurgle Renegades - Muties With Guns
A bunch of Nurgle renegade muties based on Warhammer Ghouls, or somesuch. The guns are cut down 28ml AK47 rifles. Bases are bought in resin models.
I used a mixture of layered painting, Army Painter dip, and Citadel Satin Varnish. The aim was to do a fairly fast job.

Funny, I just picked up a box of ghouls for some sort of mutant/monster unit. For being a quick paint job, they look quite nice and have good contrast and colors. The cut down AKs look perfect.
ReplyDeleteAppropriately hideous and threatening-looking.
ReplyDeleteGotta love muties and renegades, and especially renegade muties - can make them look dangerous way out of proportion to their actual threat level! ;-)
Dear Rabid
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I like this unit. The Army Painter works surprisingly well.

ReplyDeleteWho was it said that quantity has a quality all of its own. :)

These are exceptionally cool, some awesome conversion work, and a nice paint job. Very nice indeed :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Soviet

OK. Taking on what Soviet Space showed me and your results, I might buy a tin of 'dip'. It certainly seems to produce results that exceed my painting skills at the moment. I'm off to the OLGS.
ReplyDeleteDear Zzzzz
ReplyDeleteThe dip is made by army painter. It is varnish and stain - you could probably buy something similar from B&Q.

Nice. =)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting conversion!
