Not to Worry, Eh?

Apparently the young lady piloting the hatchback in Germany failed to notice the, ah, Challenger II, when she pulled out. She is a learner.

Let's hope it doesn't put her off driving for life.

  4. A tank just jumped out and crushed me, honest... didn't see it moving. Seriously this is a result of attentional bias causing a deficit in seeing something obvious.

    1. You are probably correct. I came very near to crushing a small car in a similar situation with an M1A1. The driver was so focused on our police escort that she was staring at the police car while pulling out in front of the tank. I saw her look at us, look away, and then suddenly look back with eyes like saucers.

    2. I think I would have brown trousers if I found myself contesting space with 50 tons of heavy armour.

  5. As someone who has ridden a superbike (a ZX10 in 1999) into a JCB (I was on the wrong side of the road), I shan't poke fun. My only defence would be that I was in her country and forgot.

Co-incidently, I was in a Challenger regiment at the time.

    1. Little short of a miracle. I suspect the tank driver was damn good.

  7. I crashed my car today.

I was going at only about 4mph and no-one was hurt, but it was my fault, and I was annoyed at myself.

    ...

    This puts it into perspective.
