Welcome to my strange alternative world of wargaming with toy soldiers: a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books (HG Wells, Little wars)
Can't see myself getting three to six... I've bought cars for less! But one will make a great centerpiece for those of us who can't afford a titan. It does look a great model from the photos I've seen. A real throwback to epic.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'll buy one and nurgalise it. I'm a sucke too.
DeleteSorry, but it just seems so silly. Maybe it will be a good game for a Saudi Prince of Oil.
ReplyDeletecheers
It is silly. But I'm the guy who bought a Titan....
DeleteIt is actually "only" $140USD, so it should be well under £100.
ReplyDeleteAnd they look pretty amazing...
Plus 20% VAT in the UK.
DeleteThe VAT is built into the price, at current rates $140 is @£84, so the price will be £85, same as the Baneblade, so if you get it from a discounter the price will be @£65 delivered.
DeleteAlso I doubt anyone will have an army of six of them.
Yes, amazingly VAT from GW seems to work only one way... that is it is already built into the base price that all the other countries suffer (++ if you are English speaking and not the US)
DeleteAs for armies of 6 of them, I am absolutely sure that SOMEONE will have one, but I suspect that the book might have other support options, i.e. Knights + IG type forces, and that army seems much more likely.
VAT built into the overseas price??? That is very strange.
