Citadel have a new range off 'edge' paints.
These are light pastel colours that you use around the edges of colours in dilute layers to build up 3D effects.
It's a very effective but awfully slow technique best suited to display modellers rather than wargamers.
But they add to the impressive Citadel paint range.

I (gulp) ventured into my local GW recently and had a look at these before buying a couple of the 'dry' examples designed for dry brushing. I have to say that they're pretty effective and really do seem to avoid wasting all that paint wiping your brushes. I even used them on some Cadians...oh,no ;)
ReplyDeleteDear Monty. thanks for info. I may give them a try.

ReplyDeleteLook nice but my experience of GW paints (at least their pots) is not good. Many have dried up inside the pot and the design is a bugger as the lid either slowly closes or breaks off.
ReplyDeleteYes, good paint, crap pots, unfortunately.
