'Allo, 'Allo

Nouvion Fishing Quay

Listen very carefully; I shall say this only once.

Somewhere in this picture are two British airmen waiting for Rene to smuggle them onto a fishing boat which will rendezvous with a British Vosper out in the Baie de Somme.

Ha, now you see them. They are disguised as lobster pots.

  1. Dear John,
    That is a brilliant diorama.
Incidentally, our previous discussion caused me to pick up Dickens' Narvik, which I could claim was research but it was really for fun. I knew a fair amount about 2nd Narvik but not much about the initial encounter. Churchill was a great wartime leqder, but his interference in operations got a lot of people killed.

  2. Very nice JL. 'Secret Army' which I enjoyed as a boy, was only one series. 'Allo Allo', a pastiche of Secret Army, ran for six or seven series and is so well remembered that these days almost no one remembers Secret Army.

And these days, I can't even remember if it really was called Secret Army. Oh well, that's progress, one supposes.

    1. It was indeed called Secret Army.....I think. Made in the 60s? Or 70s.
