Welcome to my strange alternative world of wargaming with toy soldiers: a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books (HG Wells, Little wars)
Those are indeed odd.
ReplyDeleteAre they meant to be swooping hawks? Almost makes me wish swooping hawks weren't craptastic (...somehow, a heap of S3 shots isn't THAT scary...).
Ah, someone has been looking at the pictures in the Rogue Trader book! Great stuff :)
ReplyDeleteDear Cyborg
ReplyDeleteSean hangs around Toys'r us. I would guess that is the source.

Dear Raptor,
ReplyDeleteI guess they are Swooping Hawks.

Dear Pacific
ReplyDeleteYah, Sean is another veteran gamer so he has been playing a long time.

FYI the wings were from hobbycraft they were part of wedding decorations on special offer at 29p each. The idea was for Eldar exodites/corsair variants equpped with more close combat and special weapons i.e. flamer fusion gun etc i.e. all the spare bits from the autarch/exarchs the idea of the wings was a mixture yes sort of swooping hawk but also for the corsairs a sort of solar sail
ReplyDelete/reaction pack they could use to board enemy ships.

ReplyDeleteFrom John's blogs I notice that the Maxmini web site had some dragon fly and bat style wings at a reasonable price if you wanted to do something similar its just that I see stuff put two and two together and come up with one and a half if i'm lucky.
