My last Albatross D5 has turned up from eBay.
This one was flown by Karl Jentsch who had seven confirmed kills.
These are great models.
Welcome to my strange alternative world of wargaming with toy soldiers: a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys' games and books (HG Wells, Little wars)
that is a lovely looking model! are they hand painted or factory painted?

ReplyDeleteI don'y know but it looks like a factory machine job. If so, job's a good'un.

Hey, I just got done building one of those in 1/72 scale for my father. Very nice Albatross, just looks so small compared to the scale I play, lol. Does look factory painted, but a very good factory paint job, I think you got a nice pick up there John.

Dear SBF
ReplyDeleteYes, they do look small compared to the 1:72 models. I build a few of those for old times sake when I feel like reprising my youth. My very first model was an Airfix 1:72 Spit in 1960 or thereabouts.
