Godinstone Open day

Popped down to Godinstone for their charity open day. Unfortunately it was just a little to early for the full flowering of the daffs. The chalklands are rather exposed so spring is later here than on the coast.

Wild orchids were up. They do well on the nutrient poor chalk meadows of Kent.

  1. Love that top picture! I think it's been too dark and cold too! Our local place for seeing daffodils is Hampton Court palace - usually an impressive display.

    1. Hampton Court is wonderful. I don't go as often as I would like as it means a drive right round The Magic Roundabout.
