Fortress of Redemption - Assembly

The kit goes together fairly easily. There was a little warping of some of the wall components requiring the use of rubber bands but nothing excessive. You end up with four components, the tower, two bastions and the walkway, that have to be interlinked. That is tricky and will need some plastic filler. I am a little concerned about the rigidity of the final construct. I think I shall have to add some stiffener underneath, probably Milliput.

All in all, I am impressed. Another excellent terrain piece that makes a great centrepiece on the game table.

  1. What about cutting a 1/4 inch thick piece of MDF board and mounting it? It wouldn't add a great ton of weight and give a good amount of strength to the entire structure. Also the large base would help avoid tipping if someone gives her a bump.

I am going to have to do something!
I will try the Milliput first, as it is light but may well have to go down the road you suggest.

Every so often one of the old Channel Flak Towers comes up for sale. They look a bit like this.
